Chemical Treatment
We work with ABS and other polymer raw materials such as PC-ABS, PA, and more. Our process ensures a reliable conductive surface, ready for metal coating.
Chemical Etching: Creates a conductive layer on the polymer surface through oxidation, enabling strong adhesion of metallic layers.
Activation: Colloidal Palladium is introduced into micro-pores, catalyzing chemical nickel reduction.
Acceleration: The protective SnCl₂ layer is removed to activate the catalyst.
Chemical Nickel: A thin nickel layer is deposited to make the part conductive.
Electrolytic Treatment
Once the chemical deposit is established, successive electrolytic treatments are applied to achieve the desired finish:
Pre-Copper: Reinforces the thickness of the metal layer.
Copper: Provides the base of the coating.
Nickel: Protects copper from corrosion with various finishes like semi-bright, satin, crystal, matt, micro-cracked, or micro-porous.
Chromium (*): Final protective and decorative finish.
